  1. Apollo localiser

  3. Early versions of Apollo have proved popular in countries all over the world. I have written Apollo‚Äôs message in English because that‚Äôs my native language, and apart from some schoolboy French and German (and Latin!) it‚Äôs all I can speak. However, due to some hard work by users of Apollo, translations are available into other languages. Currently, translations are available for Japanese, Dutch, Swedish, French and German, courtesy of Mark Nagata, Ren√© Ros, Karl-K√∂nig K√∂nigsson and Andr√© (Andreas) Fischer respectively.

The translation is done by a program, Apollo localiser (Apple refers to the process of making its system software ready for a particular country as localisation). To translate your copies of Apollo and Eagle to one of these languages, start up Apollo localiser, choose a language from the popup menu and then find your copies of Apollo and Eagle. When the translation is finished, restart your Mac. Do not attempt to configure Apollo in any way before restarting, or you may destroy the translated copy.

  7. If you want to use Apollo Converter to copy settings from an older copy of Apollo into your new copy of version 1.0, you must do this before translation. The converter will refuse to accept a localised copy of Apollo as an output file. There are good reasons for this, believe me.
